Dereliction of Duty

Alright, alright, I know that I've been negligent in posting.

I've been working on the new front page, but that's no excuse. So, what have I been doing? Well.

January
Wk1 - I taught a NACE Internal Corrosion for Pipeline course in Houston
Wk2 - I flew to Houma, LA to meet with my counterparts to develop the agenda for our annual technician meeting. This meeting is a week-long training session and roundtable that about 100 corrosion technicians attend, from Texas and Louisiana. All the material for the meeting is new every year. It's a lot of work to put together. Here's a picture from a couple of years ago:

Wk3 - I flew to Colorado Springs to give a presentation at the NACE Rocky Mountain Corrosion Short Course. Then I squeezed in a weekend of skiing in Winter Park.
Wk4 - Left Colorado and flew to Las Vegas for the SSPC conference. The conference wrapped up on Wednesday, I flew home and flew out Thursday AM for ski trip in Sun Valley, Idaho. Just enough time to dump the dirty laundry out my suitcase and throw some clean clothes in.

February
Wk1 - Went to the office for the first time in two weeks. I literally had one day in the office in January.
Wk2 - I chaired the NACE Pipeline Integrity Management and Coatings Seminar in Houston. I gave some opening remarks, introduced the presenters and read their biographies, and managed the questions after the presentations.

What next? I'm in the office for the next two weeks, trying to get caught up. The tech meetings are scheduled for the first couple of weeks in March, so we're scrambling to get everything done in time.

Late.
