hevle.com's 2006 Person of the Year is Borat Sagdiyev

Hi my name Borat!
Borat Sagdiyev (born July 30, 1972) is a Kazakh journalist who came to fame making an unintentionally hilarious documentary Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. He interviews people across America, including frat boys, a prostitute, feminists, evangelists, a driving instructor, a humor coach, and Pamela Anderson. This documentary has become a cult film because of the many malapropisms and verbal slips made by Borat, an alleged professional news reporter, who demonstrates the backwardness of his home country of Kazakhstan with his racism, homophobia, misogyny, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, and lewd and shocking behavior.

Borat is the recipient of the first annual hevle.com Person of the Year award. Finalists for this award were Mr. Sagdiyev, Kevin Federline, Katie Couric/Rachael Ray (aren't they the same person?), and Kim Jong-il. The award consists of a replica of the hevle.com Person of the Year statuette, a check for $10, and dozens of money-saving coupons.
