My 2006 in Books

I read 65 books in 2006, about 5 1/2 per month. I wouldn't have guessed that I read almost twice as many mystery/thriller books as science fiction, and that my reading varied from as few as 2 books in one month to as many as 10. I'm defining these genres very loosely, many of the books could have fit into more than one of these categories. If I wasn't sure, I went to Amazon to see how they had it categorized. Most of the mystery/thriller books were detective stories, with some legal fiction and a couple of spy novels thrown in. Most of the science-fiction is hard SF and cyberpunk with a smattering of fantasy. Most of the book club books fell under the non-fiction or literature categories.
