Ten Years

I think it was about ten years ago when I vowed never to listen to "Freebird" or "Stairway to Heaven" again in their entirety. You can't help but hear these songs occasionally, but these once great rock anthems have been played into oblivion and deserve to rest in peace. I've managed to avoid hearing them both, but once I had a close call on a first date when "Stairway" came on, and I had to pretend that I had to use the restroom and stepping outside for a couple of minutes.
