Smooth Move

The move to a new host went smoothly, I had a couple of problems with email, but the site was up and running right away. Read the technical details here. Last night I finally got a new design that I liked, so expect a new site layout in the next couple of weeks. The goals are to improve white space, reduce the size of the header, and make it more readable. I'm going to get rid of the menu bar on the left, and consolidate all of those "interests" pages. I'm also going to soften up the colors, and make everything a little smaller. I keep a list of things I'd like to do with the site, starting more than five years ago, like a wish list. I won't be able to do everything, but step-by-step it's gotten better. At least, I think so, look here (page down to see the different versions) and see if you don't agree. Oh yeah, I am going to try to use the new tags feature of Blogger to categorize the posts. And update all the content. Whew. That sounds like a lot of work.
