Since I’m
an engineer, and a guy, toys interest me.
One of my hobbies in college was high end audio, and I’m starting to
get into it again. Nowadays that
includes surround-sound and video as well. ipod I
bought a 20Gb iPod,
and I’ve loaded my entire CD collection onto it. It’s still only about a quarter full, so I
need to buy more music. I’m putting
together a wish list of CD’s like the books wish list I have on Amazon. I also bought the Bose
headphones that cancel out noise.
They are perfect together for flights, the background noise is cut
back by half, and the sound quality is fantastic. tivo TiVo has truly changed the way I watch
television. I bought my first TiVo in 1999 and I wouldn’t give it up without a fight. Check out my TiVo
page here, and see an updated
list of my season passes. Read about
my experience in upgrading my TiVo unit in Diary of a TiVo
Hack. radiomyway I
bought a RadioMyWay, it’s kind of a
cross between an iPod and a TiVo. It records radio programs off the air (AM
or FM, not satellite) onto a flash memory card, and allows you to play them
back or transfer them to your computer. hi-def tv I
bought a Sony
50" Grand WEG 3LCD Rear Projection HDTV. I’ll have to get a HD TiVo,
and that means new satellite dish, wiring, etc. One step at a time. gps Some
